Washburn Acoustic Guitars: WG16S Grand Auditorium

”Your Main Plain Jane”The Washburn WG 16S Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar may look plain, but she’s got it where it counts! What the WG 16S lacks in aesthetics, it more than makes up for in sound and value, not surprising as Washburn is known for producing some great acoustic guitars.
Built on a Grand Auditorium body, the WG 16S has a
solid cedar top and mahogany back and sides giving it a warm, rich tone that is unusually vibrant for a guitar in this price range, and its volume is impressive, even when compared to the dreadnoughts which are known for their loudness.
Unlike the dreadnought, however, the WG 16S has a pleasantly curvy shape that will fit comfortably on your lap and allows even more slightly built players to take advantage of its well-rounded tone.
While this simple beauty can provide you with plenty of value for the money (just ~$269) if you have an aggressive style of playing or enjoy rapid flatpicking, you may want to consider a different model, as the WG 16S tends to get a bit buzzy when played too aggressively. For fingerstyle playing and light strumming, however, you will find this to be an ideal instrument.
