What is it about the Seagull S6 Entourage that is so appealing? Okay, so it is a fabulous looking guitar; the graduated wood tones of the solid cedar top give it an appealing glow. Yet it’s not just the looks, but the way the guitar sounds too.


Perhaps it’s the solid cedar top, but the S6 has a clear, crisp sound that resonates in your fingertips and fills your head up with its sound; a sound that reminds one of those wooden wind-chimes you sometimes hear playing in the breeze on a quiet afternoon.


And speaking of quiet; while the tone of this piece is lovely, it is not extraordinarily loud. This may have something to do with its shape; a slimmer, altogether smaller size that handles extremely well and has a shape that is female friendly. If you are looking for a large sound, this may not be the instrument for you. But if you like your guitar to be light, friendly, comfortable to play, and lovely to listen to (not to mention affordable, at <$360), then the Seagull S6 Entourage would be a solid choice for you. This is a quality, female friendly guitar that guys love too!

A solid mass produced guitar of Canadian origin. I like that. Too many makers have shipped building over seas and we need jobs to.
That said, this guitar is one of the nicest I've ever played. You can spend alot more to get this sound and feel. Makes you want to climb inside and spend hours playing. Now that's impressive. Really well done Seagull.

This is an outstanding choice for the budding fingerpicker. It has no serious rivals at this price-point.
