”Inexpensive Nylon String Beginner’s Guitar”Are you looking for a nylon string acoustic guitar for beginners? You may just have found it! The Ibanez IJC30 Quickstart ¾ Scale Classical Guitar Pack is a great way to introduce beginning guitar students to the joys of a musical life.
Ibanez has put together a beginner’s package that is just right for younger or smaller players. And at just ~$119 (including all the additional accessories) the Ibanez IJC30 Quickstart ¾ Classical Guitar Pack is priced so as not to be prohibitively expensive and discourage an interest in learning how to play.
Not only does the IJC30 come with an electronic tuner and a
gig bag with an accessories pouch, but it comes with a ¾ size classical guitar that is just the right size for younger and more slightly built players. It is comfortable to hold, and even more comfortable to play with the benefit of nylon string. Made with a spruce top and catalpa back and sides, the ¾ size guitar produces a nicely rounded tone that has a surprising clarity for a guitar of this size.
If, however, you are simply looking for a beginner’s classical guitar, then you may want to consider the
Yamaha CGS Student Classical Guitar 3/4-Size which, at ~$129, comes in a variety of sizes (including smaller sizes) to fit every beginner. The variety of sizes (from small 1/2 and 3/4 sizes to full size acoustics) makes the Yamaha a great choice for all beginning guitarists, no matter what their size as everyone can pick a guitar in the same price range that feels right for them. While the Yamaha doesn’t come with the electric tuner or accessories pouch, it is also a good choice if you are looking for just an inexpensive classical guitar.
While the Ibanez IJC30’s guitar is aesthetically pleasing, it does tend to lose its tune easily. This is where the electronic tuner comes in handy since you will probably have to re-tune it every time you sit down to play. It is also not the best guitar for fingerstyle playing, which is a pity seeing that it is a classical guitar. And it tends to get a bit mushy if you don’t use a pick, particularly on the lower bass notes.
However, if you are looking for a nylon string, affordable guitar for beginners, then the IJC30 is definitely a beginner’s package to consider and a great way to introduce your students or beginning guitarist to the joys of acoustic guitar playing.
