How is the Ab6 (or Aflat6 guitar chord) contructed? The sixth note of the Ab major scale is (F), so an Ab6 chord will simply be the Ab major triad (Ab, C, Eb) plus the sixth note (F). Said differently, an Ab6 chord is made up of intervals 1 3 5 6, or notes Ab C Eb F.

This Ab6 or Abmaj6 chord is not the same as the "Ab6 Power Chord". The Ab6 Power Chord, not shown here, contains only 2 notes; Ab (root) and F (6th note); intervals 1 and 6.
